Wtf are you talking about? Anthrax is pop-rock joometal, they are one of the most popular and well know metal bands ever, they are horribly overrated is what you meant. Why not support (actually) underrated bands that actually deserve support, like Sort Vokter?

I remember the story of three bands intent on making extreme (for the time) metal into something easily digestible for the mainstream audience and one band that was pretty freakin awesome untill they released "Divine Intervention" and lost all their hetero street cred.

hmmmm reminds me of this day in science this kid was talking about music, and I said stright up Led Zeppelin is overratted compared to Black sabbath...and the kid and his friends claimed sabbath is way more overrated then Zepplein...heck the kid even said "and your a metal fan..psh" I laughed so hard in his face...Zeppelin is hard rock, and you call yourself a metal fan and diss sabbath..

if you will listen, all their songs sound exactly the same

hell, some songs have the SAME EXACT RIFFS, VOCALS AND LYRICS

IE: the solos in "once in a lifetime" and"my spirit will go one"

and the "ooooOOOOoOOOaaaahhhooo!" in "once in a lifetime" and"my spirit will go one"

not to mention the solos sound rediculously similar to slower solos by helloween, gamma ray, and blind guardian

Okay. "Madhouse" and "I Am The Law." Both songs consist of strumming the top string open and applying random frets in sequence. It's hard to explain it, but maybe I can do it in code. One second.

@nouman: Those two songs you referred to are from the same album, and is a technique called theme and variation. It isn't just some lame excuse to make the song longer or to have more songs on the album.

Also, who cares? Metallica has tons of guitar solos ripped off from several other bands. And I doubt dragonforce did this anyway, you can't just steal a guitar solo without making the backup music have the same chord progression, which is too much trouble to do than just coming up with your own, which they are more than capable of doing. They're also fast, several songs WILL sound the same, that doesn't mean they are. Most bands this fast have no melody, and repeated drum beats and guitar riffs, which Dragonforce does not. It only takes a minor knowledge of music to notice this.

As for Anthrax, I like them, but every song on Persistence of Time is relatively the same, and also sucks.
