Enter hero name and choose hereo options at begining

How do i put these in to my game?

I am only familiar with RM2K, but this could apply. The RM2K name enter thing is screwed up, so you need to download the patch here:

after that, just use the hero name enter thing in the event editor. If you want someone to call you by this name, just enter "\N[x]" in the message box, with x being the character # (in the hero tab in the database). so for the first character, you would have \N[1]. If you have RMXP or another version and this doesn't work, I can't help you there. Hope this helps you!

I use XP Knights Edition so i dont know if that will work but ill try it.

You really shouldn't do that.
That RM2k patch just might screw up your Xp game.
The "Enter Hero Name" command should be on tab 3.

The \n[1] thing does indeed work for Xp.

And I to am also confused on the "Choose Hero Options"...

i believe he is talking about having the player choose what class the main hero is (001)

it's pretty simple, create a new event (have it autostart but maybe add a switch so that it only does it once. . .) simply do it with a message explaining to the player what the hecks goin on followed by a dialogue that asks what class the user wants to be (if you want to choose between more than 4 classes you have to use the fourth option as a "more choices option") then in each of the conditions just make a mommand "change hero class" and pick the class out that corrisponds with what the choice was, lots of clicking, but works.

meh you are outdated , p.knights got the enter name bug solved and builded in.

the ones above us solved both problems, so it can be locked.

use events, i can not say it any easier, switches and choises, that wat u can do for picking a player, but i hav never seen the enter hero name thing before, ia that avalible to postality knights
