Edit 2: is it supposed to require I hit spacebar 9 times b4 the screen goes back ot the map?

Edit 3: just tried with multiple characters, I had to hit space bar 9 times b4 my 2nd 3rd or 4th characters information would pop up and after the 9 I had to do once per character
^---nvm, was gaining 9 skills lol


Edit 4: when I gain a skill it makes a box appear but no writing is in it

Edit 4 answer: Must be a font problem again. Open your main script and take a look if there are the lines:

checked the script and it has the Tahoma one
when I lvl up it shows my stats and what they change to like ur screen shot does but the spot where it hsould show the skill I gain is an empty window that looks large enuff to hold the message that should appear there

Are you using a CMS? Or any other script that could cause the problem? Did you try the demo? If yes, how does it work? The same problem, another or none at all?

can't run the demo, says its not compatable
tried it with a new project with no other scripts in it still same problem
don't have a CMS.... yet....

Make a new project and just copy the Game.rxproj into the game demo folder and overwrite the old file. Then it will work.

don't worry, it likes the 4.0 CMS you just posted and the words work with taht which leads me to believe it doesn't like the default one that XP comes with

Like it but a question -

Im using this with one of the add-ons from your pack that centers the battlers. This lvl-up notifier does not center/remain above the battlers if there is less then 4 in the party. It looks ok for 1 and 4 people but 2 or 3 people in the party make it look a bit strange. Can you provide a edit to center the lvl-up notifier in the same way please!

Sure. Just replace this piece of code:
