This is greet, ou could make people get a discount because you helped the shop keeper or something, and raise the tax if you piss him off...

This would work great with a good/evil script.

Would it be possible to make it work with Variables?

If you meant to make the tax rate from a variable, use this:

$game_system.tax = $game_variables[id#]

Where id# is the number of the variable.

I suppose, but then you couldn't use floats. (8.4 percent tax, etc)

What about this:

$game_system.tax = $game_variables[id#] / 100.0

In this case you can define the tax as procent with a variable

I don't think you should.
It's a simple addition and it can easily be fitted into a call script.
The client can do it if the client feels like it

Plus, it's your choice on which variable to use. You still got like a zillion more.
