How To Put Game onto a CD?

If i want my friends to play my demo from a cd i brun...what do i have to put onto a cd....because i tried to put all the files that r in my project folder and it didnt work... Im using RmXP as well....Plz Help.Asap

......  Did you read the "Help" manual in the game maker?  Sometimes it really helps!

go under "File" then "Compress Game Data..."

After it makes a compressed .exe file, put that thing on the cd

Well,i dont think the "compress Game Data" does much more than just compressing the data.You could also zip it or rar it,it would be the same.
If what you want is for your friends who dont have RMXP installed be able to play your game,there's a sticky on the project/games forum about this.

If you are using something from the RTP then you would have to save the RTP with the game onto the CD.
