Question about 'show choices' command

Is there any script or work-around that will get rid of the 24 character limit for inputing a choice? I've looked allover the site and I can't seem to find anything that would work. Im making a role play intensive game, so it would be nice if the pc could have a little bit more interaction with the events. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh yeah, this is for RPG Maker XP.
