A few suggestions.

1) try to make every house look a little more dirrerent. It's good that they have snow, but they all have the same height. Try to make long buildings, or really tall ones too.

2) Make sure the size of the place fits the story. And if it's a pivotal town, give it a few estra houses, for artistic sakes.

It's not a Pivotal town, a friend is writing the story and i added it in to resupply on the hike....
