Make Pre Calculated 3D Map

It's soooooooooo simple i know you thanks me very much, this is the protocol for Star Ocean 2 Mapping.
First create a map with photoshop for exemple.
in rmxp crate an empty map with a an empty chipset and put a panorama with your map. (sur make invisible barrier for not walking on all map)

Its very simple to make actually. I have tried it before.  What your seing is a panorama and the scene uses event to preven the hero from walking all over the panorama.

if u make it like a chipset u will occur some BIG problem...
i'm working for diminu the character when it go far on the map.
the matter that is answer U VERY MUCH time to do this. U must to make  more and more event for a good working but the result is pretty cool no?

probably the best program for making 3d landscapes is one called terragen, it is simply amazing, and with custom textures, it looks REAL

seeing as you already bumped it, the charset walking on it doesn't seem belong at all and using panoramas you can't really make serious maps, maybe 10 tiles road like you posted in your first post.
so you can only make it in cutscenes which will be weird seeing as the rest of the game will be 2d or on the whole thing but having to make tons of roads like that cause it doesn't give you a good moving ability

i said it's limited and unusable during the entire game and that the charset looks really weird on it  :wink:

i am sure we all know how to use panoramas by now vail, btw i think you need to explain them that the tiles that need to be blocked should be setted as blocked  :wink:

There's a problem:

The Sprite need to shrink or enlarge depending where you move it.

If this problem isn't solved, it would not be like Star Ocean at all.
