Hey friends.

It's been crazy busy on my side of the screen.

We've been trying to get our house on the market to sell (goes up on Friday!!) and work has been nuts.

But on top of that I decided it would be a cool idea to fall with a ladder and break my ankle.



Yup.

I had surgery on Tuesday to put everything back where it's supposed to be. Five screws and one plate. When they send me the X-rays I'll share for your enjoyment.

So I'm here. And laying on the couch. Not dead. Just a little broken.

24 days at home.

Hello all!

Update on my foot: I'm not dead.

I'm now six weeks out of the boot. My range of motion is limited and my calf muscle has atrophied like crazy.

But I'm walking!

Currently I'm going to PT twice a week where they stretch me and move me around to get me back to normal. I can tell a huge difference. I also went and bought crazy expensive shoes because apparently I've been standing incorrectly my entire adult life.

Not jogging yet, but the PT folks know my goal is to get back to running.

It's been tough, but I'm slowly getting back to normal.  Woot!

Sounds like you bones have healed nicely

Do be careful of jogging. When I broke my ankle the tendons took far longer to retrain than the muscles.
