As far as gameplay is concerned, Nomura said the remake will feature "a more realistic system."

Every interview just makes this sound worse and worse. It's like they're already doing damage control. I bet this ends up being just another "action" RPG, where you only control Cloud and all the other characters are suddenly arbitrary and meaningless in combat.

I wouldn't be surprised if they turn it into a button-smasher along the way.

You know what came to me, the problem is that the hype, and the expectations some of us have is so high, it might be what is making us worry, as it won't live up to our high expectations and worry of change. Should it be A realistic battle system or ATB, changes like Halo said, in my own worry, deep down, I'm curious as to what they might come up with, maybe it'll be a disaster, or maybe it might even be wonderful, we won't know ti'll we get to see it.

I worried on Jurassic World's thing with the Raptors been tamed,  and I ended up liking how it came out . . . so I'll just give FF7 Remake (Or perhaps, Reboot) a chance.

I suppose that's why they're doing the HD port. To have something near similar with (hopefully?) improved graphics. Not what we saw, but some life could be breathed into those polygons I'm sure.

Then they make another game that is based off/akin to/kind of like FF7 for the "new generation?"

I'm confused but hopeful.

I liked FF7, but I don't have a deep attachment to it. I'm excited to see what they change.
