Is this any good? I don't really need something this strong, but the price is good, and it would (presumably) make it so my streaming went less choppy/blocky less often. Plus the boyfriend is building his rig and needs one, so we saw this and the price was pretty appealing.

Any suggestions other than this guy?

Is it better than this one I have now?

I mean numerically yes, it would absolutely appear so, but I don't know anything about either brand so...

you'd pretty much have to use it and see, if your router isn't newer and doesn't support 802.11ac you won't get the throughput they quote in the product description. it is however still backwards compatible and it has dual band so it will still likely be quicker than your current dongle.

in all honesty, if you've got a tower, go with an add in card.  I can suggest some.

I honestly don't know if there's room in my case for one. But, as long as this will be at *least* as good as my current piece (with the possibility of being better with a router upgrade), the price is right and I'm happy. But yeah, my case is...kinda full. Do make your suggestions though, the boyfriend is building a tower soon.
