So I'm creating a horror game based around jump scares and things that pop up for only a second. However, my problem lies in that I can't figure out how to get a ghost character to appear in a specific spot that's not the tile which triggers the event.
What I'm wishing is that the player steps on a tile that activates the ghost to appear in a certain spot, say, behind the player or in a corner. How do I get the ghost in that tile?
(Also, not really a main concern, but do you perhaps have any idea how to have the 'ghost' randomly appear, disappear, and appear somewhere else? Not as a battle encounter, just the graphic.)
