Yes I tried it, and yes it is really awesome.
This is what I was doing before I got RMVXA.

I have tons of abandoned projects, so I found out it´s just too much work for me to write a whole game from scratch (even using LÖVE as framework).

I started a clone of FF8 Triple Triad card game, and got quite far I think.
Then I coded for weeks just to get the GUI right (well, a complete GUI system that was) and lost interest
