Well, from what I've heard, some UK newspapers show some pretty risque images sometimes.
Visiting Italy, one of the things that immediately stood out to me as being significantly different in terms of culture were the number of naked breasts on billboards. Of course, I also remember a lot of
other things about Italy, but that did immediately stand out to me. I never saw it as a "bad thing," though -- I thought it was more obvious and a bit more honest than American advertising which tries to be just as sexual under a thin veil of socially-acceptable innuendos.
Honestly, legislation won't stop objectification of women, and prohibiting pornography won't help with that either. That's a cultural problem that needs to be more widely known about and addressed in a more mature fashion than the ever-popular "this is bad, let's censor it" band-aid in my opinion.
