This link is the game thread itself which covers our recruitment needs fully.  :)

[old post: ]

It should be noted that although I talk about my other project, that can be put on hold to a degree based on how much of a team gets built for this.  Should a strong team come together, I will put my other project on hold so I can pay full attention to this with my team :)

Cave Explorer is a non-combat based game, inspired by games such as Motherload and Cave Hero.  It's based around exploring dungeons and caves in an attempt to collect resources with which to expand your new village, and exploring the surrounding region one cave at a time.  As you progress, dungeons begin to grow larger and more troublesome, requiring stronger drills and tools to break through and greater personal strength.  They'll also start to present other problems such as being dark or even having traps laid in wait.  Currently, there's no plans for monsters or any kind of direct combat.

The link above explains the game in some extra detail as well as my intentions for it.  It also has some screenies and a demo download (10 mins playtime) to see what I'm getting at.  I had originally planned to make this a very short game to self-teach, but I've always had a fondness for this genre of games and I've come to want to build up a fuller version with more than just 3/4 levels to play through.  I can't manage this on my own as I'm feeling kind of swamped and want to focus on my other project to some degree, so am searching for a team to help me build together this relaxing wee explorative game.

Who would I use?  Well, anyone at all to be honest, a team of people working together would be great, but for specifics:
Mapmakers would be fantastic, as I just don't have time to go and make whole new maps for everything all over again.
Scripters.  I'm relying on a couple of scripts to make this work and have no knowledge whatsoever of it, so having someone who does could be a lifesaver.
Eventers & Townbuilders, so that the village can really appear to grow with more and more people, more exciting events than the basic setup I'm using.
Dungeoneers obviously, to help make the dungeons as exciting as can be as they grow.
Writers, because I'm writing far too much in my other project and I'd like a rest from that, to be frank.

What will I be contributing, you ask?
Well I've got the idea and have got more ideas to keep pushing it through, I can create and edit graphics and do most of my work with eventing.  I can make maps but prefer making smaller ones.  I try to do a bit of everything (except scripting, which I'm a total failure at) to keep an understanding of everything that's happening and so I can work with my team as well as possible without segregating myself from everything except what I do.

Drop me a line here, or on the Blog if you are willing to, or know anyone who is willing to help out.  I will accept one-off help, but I'd rather a team and put our focus into it as a unit.
