What do you guys think? I'm currently attempting to recreate the RM2k3 character RTP (in my own style), or most of the thing anyway.
I also want to add character sets of my own to these because i plan to make a game as well, so a lot of it will be even more original than what you see here.

A comparison, from old to new.

I don't know why but from all the rtp packages of these makers, the only one i really like is the 2k3 rtp.

Look pretty cool in my opinion. Good work!

I think they look awesome! I really love it! Your version looks more like SNES games like Secret of Mana or Chrono Trigger, but a bit different. In a good way, of course!

Great work, SwampBeast! :D

Well thanks ;D
I will show you guys the complete NPC soon, the others i plan to keep under wraps for the game  ^-^

Those are beautiful. ^.^

I agree that they look similar to Secret of Mana. Can't wait to see more.

Thank you Dyre ;)

I'm going to go ahead with my original plan of working on the game in RMXP, i only have to zoom the character sets after they are complete is all.

What i will be doing is spriting these at their normal size and then using the zoom and print screen feature to make them fit in Rmxp or VX (same for chipsets), they will actually look the same as they do in rm2k3 but i will now have all of the extra features of that program.

I'm curious what you other rm2k3 lovers think of this trick? You can still work on the smaller sprites, keep the look that you're familiar with and have all the extra stuff if you wish to use it.

Here's a little screen shot of the characters on the two programs side by side, as you can see they look exactly the same, i just zoomed them by 100 for XP use.
I also recreated the 2k3 template as you can see, more noticeable on the walking and all side frames.
