I am losing my mind.
How can I tell if this if real, if I can't realize when I'm dreaming?
    I can't believe this, I won't.

I am losing my grip on reality.

    About Grip
Grip is a philosophical game based on humanity's perception on reality and what can be done differently to view it. It is centered around a psychology and philosophy professor and a licensed psychiatrist who finds himself in a fit of trouble when a patient deludes his own mind.
Grip is a game with no up-and-at-them teenage protagonists, plots to destroy the world and, most noticeably, Japanese stuff. There is battle, and there is magic: but only in a fictional world where physics are manipulated to the user's whim.
This game is, as of yet, unrated but is expected to be teen rated.

    Story
Kaine Pierce had a rocky relationship with his own professor, Jeremy Finn. However, when Finn encounters a patient who he cannot fathom to cure, he has to turn to Kaine for help. The patient, Kate Sayer, believes she is possessed by a demon, and Kaine has to figure out how to save her before he gives in to his own trauma.

    The Protagonists
Kaine Pierce (26) is a psychology and philosophy professor and a licensed psychiatrist. He is a timid person, but has a harsh side he can draw into when required. He is very smart and quick on his feet and holds an ability that only a handful of people have.

Jeremy Finn (43) is a psychology lecturer at the university Kaine studied at. He has a mysterious past with Kaine that has caused a rocky tension between the two. However, he has to confront his student and ask him for help on a special patient that he cannot cure.

Made by Lunarea
Kate Sayer (17) went through the first 14 years of her life normally, but was sited with forms of schizophrenia and depression as an early teen. She was taken out of school and went through a series of psychiatrists before meeting Jeremy Finn via her father's connections with the university. Finn focused on her for several months before asking his student, Kaine Pierce, for help. She is a very kind person, but due to her depression she can have very noticeable drops in mood.
The Antagonists
Kate's mind produces several characters from schizophrenia. The most notable is Cyro, the "purger of evil", who claims to be helping the world by killing the evil ones who occupy it.
Kate's inner mind may seem serene at first, but you will soon discover the turmoil within.

Kaine and Finn speak for the first time in two years. Their differing views on society spark the feud between them once again.

Kaine narrates the story with compelling commentary to offer several views on the concepts mentioned.

    Demo
Not yet. I have a lot of other stuff to do - writing scripts, helping other people's games, and as always schoolwork - so this might take a while.

    Catchya, RMRK.

Dang, this is deep. It's good to see you back in the 'New Projects' squad. I'll be sure to check this out.

man that face generator is so cruddy. you should look into finding some better sets and recoloring them to fit the characters

    pacdiggity

Yeah, I am concerned about those faces. I'll have a look around to see if I can find a better face for at least Finn. Lunarea's faces are beautiful though.
    And thanks Hiromu!

well obviously that one was not from that generator so it's fine but finn's is horrible that beard looks like it's held on by scotchtape.

oh I see! creative character flaw :V

    pacdiggity

Well, I could put somewhere in the story that he rips it off or something...
Maybe one of the dream sequences.
Just so everyone knows, there will be dream sequences in this game.

seriously though, finding some good face sets would work better.

    hiromu656

You could just use all RTP (frakensteined i think it's called) faces so that they all look like they're similar art styles. Because the one girl's face is much different than the others.

    joy

I'm feeling helpful..so I checked closet for some faces that'd work for your guys. How about these?

    pacdiggity

    It dun show up...
Maybe coz of where I am?

    pacdiggity
