I don't think he does requests.  I think he just set up some images to credit Enterbrain for creating the initial program, similar to how, while loading up Dragon Age, "Bioware" and "EA" will be shown before getting to the title screen.

Or as the OP said, "Square Enix" being shown at the start of one of their games.

Though technically, It might be more of a referance to the game engine, ie: "Unreal Technology" logo popping up on games that use the Unreal Engine.
