Moss.

These were the first two bands I ever actually bought CD's of.
I had pretty much all of them, except for the newest ones, because they SUCKED.

Yeah, never a HUGE fan of Megadeth, but I noticed a big decline in my enjoyment of Metallica after the Black album... Makes me sad, because Robert Trujillo is one of my favorite bass players. Remember his work with Infectious Grooves? Blows all his Metallica work away IMO.
Of course, Cliff Burton was the shit for a metal bassist.

Fuckin' bus...

Never liked Metallica, and I never will. There's something with them that I just don't like.

However, I used to listen alot on Megadeth 2 years ago. Not a big fan of them any longer, but they have some good songs.

Like this one:

Arlen, I was tab hunting the other day, and I saw you did a megadeth tab. :D I totally grinned.

Moss.

Actually, I've done 5. ;)

But they're really old, and probably not very good, haha.

The first time I heard the Black Album, it changed the way that I thought about music. I never liked Megadeth, but Metallica was pretty good in my book. They do suck now, but they were great. On a side note, the cover of Astronomy is probably my favorite song they did, and it isn't even theirs.

Arrow

I love how the musical people at RMRK are so responsible. :D I wouldn't have started this topic on another forum- it would have most assuredly devolved into a megadeth/metallica is UBER AND BETTER war, and that's so... over.

I've been a fan of Metallica for a loooong time now, and although I do agree with everything after the Black album is largely shit, I happened to personally enjoy Death Magnetic. I thought it was a well done album for a band who's aging, and lived up to And Justice For All and everything before it.

Make sure you download one of the Guitar Hero versions, the mastering on the retail CD is actually as bad as people say.
I'm much too lazy to put an actual signature here.

I was... disappointed. The Judas Kiss has alright sound, but the lyrics are a little whack. Frantic, well, that song just annoys the shit outta me. :S I wanted to like it I really did, but I had some trouble.

...I did not make that mistake.

So after realizing that I -apparently- am retarded, on a massive scale, and also need to stop trying to remember album lists when I'm awake at nearly 3am...

I listened to Death Magnetic again, and I was wrong. There are certain things I have issue with, namely the lyrics on a few tracks, but to be honest it's not bad. I'd still put the classics up higher of course, but this isn't without value. I'd just argue it's a bit repetitive.

Take All Nightmare Long. Fun to listen to, and I love the vocal track, again, but I feel like it doesn't really go anywhere. Until about 6 minutes in. And then the solos are too... murky for me to glean any real enjoyment from them.

My Apocalypse: -eeeeexcellent-. Fucking love this track. No complaints.

The Judas Kiss: I couldn't get into this one. Some of the lyrics made sense and I liked em, then on the other hand I was just sort of cocking an eyebrow at some of the lines. How do you submit "infectiously"? These are the sort of things I can easily put up with when it's something by Metallica, but I feel like... I dunno. This one just didn't hit the mark for me.

And it's like that across the board, good tracks, highs, and lows. Decent album. But not like the FUCK YEAH headbang fest I'm used to getting out of the older stuff.

Gracie

I'd post here but all of you would rape me for being a retard.

Moss.

this is your second post here...
