    • A template like that would depend on the size of the sprite you're trying to use.

    • Do you use photoshop?

    Calculate how big your graphic is and do some math to get the canvas or mat size.

    Go into your ->edit->preferences and select the grid size and the spacing.

    Turn on the grid/snap (I think this is view->show extras)(and ->snap is right below it)

    and bam!  you have a grid!  and don't tell me this is too hard......
