RMRK.net has nothing to do with Blockchains, Cryptocurrency or NFTs. We have been around since the early 2000s, but there is a new group using the RMRK name that deals with those things. We have nothing to do with them.
NFTs are a scam, and if somebody is trying to persuade you to buy or invest in crypto/blockchain/NFT content, please turn them down and save your money. See this video for more information.

It's funny how things go in cycles.

I discovered the joys of the RPGMaker program in the early 2000's when the RPG maker community seemed to be at it's peak and RPGMaker 2000 was the latest and greatest. I never complete much, only ever realeasing one terrible demo and spent most of my time lurking on various sites. At the time I spent all of my energies in creating the perfect system, edited sprites, carefully chosen music, custom spell effects and even coded a system or two, as well as refined the setting and story.

One hard drive crash later and the enthusiasm died, I lost everything (rule #1 of computers, I know). I'd check back from time to time, but sites started dissapearing.  Not surprisingly I turned my energies to school, but also to making pen and paper RPGs, writing mechanics and stories, managed to even get a bit into a published indie game.

Still on occasion I'd look into seeing what had become of things, every so often I'd get the itch to start again. Recently, I did a random search and found a link to this site and forums, I was surprised that my username was still valid, so here I am again.

Long winded, possibly boring, and long overdue. I'm going to try to not lurk as much, and who knows maybe I'll actually put something out there this time.

Anyway, let me make this proper before I forget again.
Hello, I am Magus Gar Kan and am pleased to be here.
