Looks like I'm gonna need to work full-time next year before going to Uni so I have enough to survive. As such, I'm looking at building a PC for use next year and subsequent years. Here's the current system I'm looking at buying.

Part   Name         Price      Linky

Case   LanCool PC-K62      199.00      http://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=453057
OS   W7 OEM         151.12      http://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=485463
CPU   AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE 265.00      http://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=514335
RAM   Crucial 2x2gb      152.39      http://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=382131
MOBO   ASUS M4A87TD/USB3   162.86      http://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=600018
HDD   Seagate Barracuda 500   64.79      http://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=386739
DVD   Samsung SH-S223F   39.68      http://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=299010
PSU   Huntkey X7-900      218.50      http://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=551282
GPU   Sapphire Radeon HD5870   471.95      http://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=495618

Total Sans Windows 7      $1574.17   In USD:   $1114.83   In SEK: 8359.78
Total With Windows 7      $1725.29   In USD:   $1221.85   In SEK:   9162.32

(I selected the 900W PSU coz' it was seriously only around 50 bucks more expensive than a 500w, and I figured this way I'd be able to upgrade NP.)

Cheers

(Btw, prices listed are in NZD, so don't be outraged D:)

This text is way too personal.

You didn't bother converting to Aussie Dollars. Even though NZD are accepted in Australia, I'm still outraged >:O

Some things like the CPU could be better with a bit more cost, but it's probably good enough as it is. Then again, I'm not too good with computer builds.

You could probably spend a little more money for a better HDD. I mean, I'm working with a $650 USD (~$917 NZD), and I'm still getting, like, 1.5TB. I mean, 500GB is still a lot, but might as well go big if you have so much money. P:

If I wanted to get an i5 750, then I'd be looking at upgrading the MOBO too, and spending an extra 2/300 dollars. The Phenom II X4 965 BE overclocks really nicely from the reviews I've seen, so it should be able to perform pretty well.

I'll probably buy another HDD if it becomes necessary.
