RMRK.net has nothing to do with Blockchains, Cryptocurrency or NFTs. We have been around since the early 2000s, but there is a new group using the RMRK name that deals with those things. We have nothing to do with them.
NFTs are a scam, and if somebody is trying to persuade you to buy or invest in crypto/blockchain/NFT content, please turn them down and save your money. See this video for more information.

I get this shitty ass problem in RMVX -and only RMVX- where it flickers like a fucking christmas tree when I try to fullscreen any game.

THIS IS ONLY RMVX.

I tried reinstalling, I updated my graphics drivers, I switched resolutions, screen refresh rates, you name it.
But I keep getting this fucking problem. It's just started happening today, and it was fine previously.

However, I've had a short history of fullscreening trouble. Recently, I found that if I downloaded too many RMVX games to my C:\ drive, then it WOULDN'T fullscreen. Period. It would just revert back to a windowed mode.

I clamoured when the problem was gone, but I was pissed to find that it was replaced by this damnable flickering.

If it helps, I'm running Windows XP, and I haven't started having this problem until just a few minutes ago. Please halp.

Hey guys, I can help you out with that problem. A lot of times this issue occurs due to the hardware acceleration. This is common with older PC's.

So basically to fix this problem (if you are using windows XP) go to your desktop > right click > properties > settings > advanced > troubleshoot then simply turn the graphics acceleration to a lower amount (try each and run a game in full screen to see which one works best for you). If you have any further questions just post them here, or PM me and I can help you out with this issue .

Not sure if that's gonna work, since I use Vista, but I guess it's worth a try.

I don't know if this will work for vx, but press f1 while playtesting and a menu-window will show up. You should be able to find "reduce screen flickering" somewhere

Sweet, I'll try this and see what happens. I'm at a friend's place right now, so I can't tell you immediately, but if I have any more problems, I'll tell you what's up.

Background applications sometimes have a nasty habit of messing some fullscreen applications.

Just tested it; works like a charm.

Any severe disadvantages I should be aware of?

Some games might run at a lower FPS (1 - 2 Frames).

I've dona a lot of tests, and everything seems to be fine.

Resolved, I guess.
