Hi. I just started using RMXP and need some help. I'm making a world map using http://www.rpg-palace.com/artists/xpworld.php, which I found through this website in the Resources forum.

I'm following the tutorial that is posted on that website (http://www.rpg-palace.com/artists/tutorial/) and started off with the coastline. I managed to get that down. Then I had to go to the second part, adding the shallow water around the coastline I created.

The left side of this picture is the guy's tutorial; the right side is my work. As you can see, I can't seem to get rid of the white background around the tile. It's suppose to just mix in with the water tile, but I can't seem to get it to work. What did I do wrong and how do I fix it? Thank you.

Did you set transparency properly when you imported the tileset?

Kreldin

I must not have. This is my first time using RPG Maker, so I'm still learning. I notice there's a Transparent Color and Semi-transparent color when importing. What should I set them as?

Left click the tile that you want to be transparent. The semi-transparent is right-click, and it's for shadow tiles and things like that.

I went back and re-imported the tile set for the world map. The normal transparent and semi-transparent color is black. So if I want to get rid of the white around the tile, I just set the transparent to that shallow blue with left-click while importing?

modern algebra

You left click the white. The color you don't want to see.

That's it, thank you very much for the help, much appreciated.
