Is it a good idea to put in a bunch of speech options in the dialogue?

I started doing it, but is it really worth it?

It's not like people would go through every speech option just to see what they say.

EDIT: It would be alright if I post a screen shot of an example right?

Irock

That depends. In Fallout, it's crucial.

Honenya

I know that, that is where I got the idea.

But do YOU think it would be a good idea to have that "Mean" comment the "Nice" comment or even the "Inappropriate" comment.

I will have it to where if you say certain things to some people they can't help you later on.

But should I really have towards every person. It's fun but it takes a long time.

Depends if that's going to be a big part in your game. If your going to make your game like Fable or w/e, then you should have it in.

Personally, I don't really care if I turn out evil or not. I usually just pick randomly and see where the ride takes me.

Considering the rigidity of the Honowei canon, probably not to the same effect as Fallout.

Well one thing I know about fable and fallout is that there is a LOT of stuff in them,
but story campaign is pretty short.

You find games like that fun, but behind all of that fun dialogue IS there something behind it?
(Not saying that I don't like them, I love fallout, considering I am getting Fallout New Vegas.)

The only thing behind dialogue options is whether or not you get the good ending or the bad ending. I'm looking at you, Bioware.

Haha, true that  ;8

I was always kind of pissed off by "dynamics" like that. "What, I called her an idiot and now a planet blows up?! The hell?!"

Still, it's better than Bioshock's amazing "Save All The Sisters, But Harvest One And Get The Bad Ending" feature.

It'd be funny if it were "Harvest all the little sisters, but save one and get the good ending."

But it should really have been a statistical jenk, though.

Lol, I harvest all the little sisters anyway.
