RM Racer

I do have screenshots and video, but couldn't start a topic in the parent forum :S

ANyways, this is RM Racer. I did this about 2-3 years ago, thought it got lost in a hard-drive wipe, and recently found it on an old CD-rom lying in my attic. It's essentially going to be a first pereson racing game in rm2k3. Dont believe me? Check out the video. My project site is here.

Admittedly, this started as more of a coding challenge than anything else. I do think there is some serious scope for a game to be built on this, though. There's no hint of lag going on. I might just have to make it a downhill ski racing game xD

What is Mode 7?

I just used the standard RPG Maker 2003... you know, the one with the chess icon. No patches.

Eh, mode 7, there is a script for this some place for RMXP, maybe the other RPG Makers as well.  Any ways this still is really cool, and I hope that you can get a full game done.

That sounds badass and extremely useful...

My current method involves using pictures to make 8 markers which sketch out the road. The floor is simply a moving panorama. The horizon is also a picture.
