Resource Request Bumping

This is the only forum that I know of that does not allow bumps. I would like to request the permission to bump request threads after a certain time period. There are requests that never get any responses. Maybe someone who could have helped overlooked the topic because it got pushed down to ever get noticed.

Just look at the number of threads that have no responses. Some requests are not asking for much at all.

Umm, permission granted? You've always been allowed to bump your own threads as far as I know, so long as it's been a reasonable time since the last bump.

You're not allowed to necro other people's threads if they've been dead for a long time, like a few months. Maybe you got the impression from that?

Also, you're supposed to edit posts when you want to revise something you've said, rather than double posting.

But bumping has always been allowed as far as I know.

And even double posting isn't really an "offense". It's more a courtesy thing and makes the thread easier to read, considering when you see someone's post, you automatically assume the next post is not from them.

I never seen anyone bump a request and I believe it is because of what the rule states.

That says don't bump every second. In other words, if you don't get a reply within ten minutes, don't bloody post again bitching that no one's responding. It's just common sense.

It actually states "ever second". So I guess that is a typo. I have never seen anyone bump their request topic. I doubt most people don't realize that it is a typo.
