Outpost [WIP]

Outpost

The dwarven leaders held counsel recently, discussing what they had recently found. Although they are uncertain as to exactly what the stone is, they know it's powerful. They want to harness its energies, but the only people that understand this natural magic are the Elven people. Years of racial tension and warfare between the two cultures make this a difficult situation. The humans are driven by greed, as they often are. They are siding with the elves because they know if the elves get it, then they will reap the benefits as well.

The tensions are getting higher, and though war has not yet been declared between any of the factions, it is undoubtedly coming. The arms race has been building, leaving the economies on both sides struggling. With trade routes both on land and in the sea slowly being taken over by equipment caravans and soldiers, towns and shops aren't getting the things that they need. Even the townspeople are being affected, which is just more fuel to the fire.

xD lmao no, no, no.
I hate that if you use those races and anything having to do with a war or conflict, everyones like "omg warcraft!" :p

No, not World of RPGMakercraft. haha

Except your story is well...pretty much just that.
I really don't see anything to differentiate it from the world of warcraft 'alliance versus horde' storyline at all.

they exist and they're fighting, try explaining why, maybe how it started, something unique to your game rather than just a general idea that looks exactly like World of RPGMakercraft.

Much better. Usually my stories are like "In the world of boxes, Bob found a rock".

haha I like rocks! And boxes! So that story sounds great :p

Maybe with the last sentence "The humans, who are on the side of the elves, want to use the stone for themselves, as do the orcs." make it more in detail... why are the humans with the elves? If only the elves know the magic, why dont the factions ficht to parlay with the elves? something like that(or something)

I know it sounds like I'm taking back my first post, but I'm not. All I'm saying now is that before that last sentence everything was sweet. After needs a bit more explaination.
