Zeich is a huge FFXI addict, and his college is being a bitch and blocking the ports for security reasons. Usually he goes to an internet cafe to get in his daily gaming, but the cafe is going out of business soon. Anyone know a way of getting around this so he can play freely at his college?

Sophist

Is there any way he can contact the College tech boys and have them open the ports or is it a "NO GAMING" sort of installment by the uni's higher ups?

it's probably the latter.
the only reason my school allows steam is because we have a MOD class where we learn how to make source mods, and we obviously need steam for that.

Everything else is blocked.

However live-at-school colleges really shouldn't block ports, it doesn't make sense.
