Who has created the deepest and most engrossing game you've seen? Who has ideas and designs that stand out above others?

Who makes you go "Wow, I'd have never have thought of that!" the most?

Of the games I've played, Irock's Desomiom was the big surprise. I played the crap out of the demo.

Oracle Games deserves a nod for Wrath Steel, simply because of the isometric playfields.

Chainsaw Melody definitely stood out with how he worked his game Fall of the Living.
Reives for Do You Remember My Lullaby. Technically it was 2008, but at the very end of December.
Sailerius for his Vacant Sky game. Seriously amazing.
