Example. This is what I currently have.

The problem, is that the fences don't really look that good, but when you use normal times, there no, I guess "Depth" setting which means no matter how much I make it look like multiple levels, the character can just walk off the side. So...is there a better, a least looking way to keep the player from walking of the sides without uses fences like that?

Hi
Are you sure you have marked the cliff impassible? I tested this and I didn't walk off the edge.

You can't run a cliff up the side since it'll be a whole tile wide. There's a script for doing this kind of thing. I didn't use it, but I had the demo for a little bit, I'll have to come back to this later since I don't have time to go find it right now. It was here somewhere and it was posted by Mr.A. It's been a couple months since I've looked at it, so depending on how popular it was, it might be on like page 5 or 1.

Looked through the 14 pages there, the only thing I really saw was this one.

Though I wasn't sure if this would help or not.

I think that's the one he was referring to.

Yeah, that was what I was talking about. It's basically exactly what you're looking for. I don't know why VX didn't have this to begin with. Download the demo and look at it and you'll see what I mean.

Hi
Now I thank you for that script even though I am not the creator of this thread! :D

Well, took a bit of reading and experimenting, but I think I got working. I can't even tell you how much frustration you saved me. Thanks a lot.

You can also check the Elevation Script, which allows to create multi-leveled areas using ladders/stairs between levels. :)
