Watch out for: HaloOfTheSun

Would be cool to have an object, preferably plastic or some similar material, to be held in the hands comfortably, that has buttons and directional sticks at convenient locations, so we can control the game with this and get past the shitty gimmick fad :)

Motion control is useful for some games. It can't be replaced by anything else.

Moving your fingers up and down is the same thing as pressing buttons, only it costs more.

I think the Guitar Hero thing was just a demonstration of how it could work and isn't a hint at things to come. I doubt they'll rush to incorporate this technology in video games when it wouldn't really improve anything. The other applications shown in the video though, especially the mp3 player one, are really cool. :)

or maybe a larger pad with multiple times more buttons, and a seperate piece of plastic which can be moved around to achieve a similar function of those "directional sticks"

OOPS I MOVED MY FINGER AND MY SONG CHANGED. I WISH I COULD MOVE MY FINGERS FREELY WITHOUT MY MP3 PLAYER DOING THINGS. IF ONLY THERE WERE BUTTONS THAT I COULD PRESS INSTEAD.

Yeah, I don't see how you'd do the notes on the far right, lol.

This is pretty awesome. They need to make this system work with Wii Sports.

Pretending to pretend to play a musical instrument, only slightly below DJ Hero.
And I agree with Roph, how far is too far when you plan on stripping down controls? I'd hate to play any game on Natal. Interacting with a physical medium makes the experience more realistic...and easier, this just removes functionality. :=:
Irock is right too, if it's done well it makes the gameplay all that much better.

Ok, I'll say it: sex games.

This should really be on the PSP then.

What is wrong with you. This is not a shitty gimmick fad, not if it's done right. If I'm not mistaken, besides the Eye toy and the Wii (and even that has two nunchuk controllers), this has been around for five years. I wouldn't call it a fad, and what's more, there's all kinds of possibilities for new types of gameplay and you and everyone else knows it. And I'm not talking about those life simulation games or more first person shooter games. I'm talking about games that really delve into fantasy, and maybe some puzzle or logic games that are actually involving you for once.

People still think this technology is going to be used in video games?
