Mode 7 problems

I downloaded the NeoMode 7 script, and put it in my game. I am going to use it for the airship sequences. Basically, every tikme you walk to the airship and hit the action button, you get in the airship, rise from the ground, and the mode seven script activates. It SHOULD look kind of like the airship sequnces in FF6. But every time I think I've got it, I test it. And every time I hit the action button, It says syntax error. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong and/or how to do it rite?

Well, the script came with instructions, and one part said that to change the map to Mode 7 mode, you would have to make an event, selact the script option, and enter $scene.spriteset.tilemap.mode7_set_p(new_angle) I tried that, but it (as I said earlier) keeps saying that there is an error.
