there's a program that does it. Try search on google for character convertor.

Do you mean to convert the VX sprite so that it's directly compatible with RMXP, or make an XP RTP style sprite based on the VX sprite? If you mean the first, that's easy enough to do, but if you mean the second one, it's going to be a lot more work than any one person is willing to do.
