what is credit, i know that this is a pretty straightforward question, but i would like to know exactly what it means.

If you mean giving credit for game stuff, it just means acknowledging who helped you out or did parts of your game for you. Like at the end of a movie, you see the credits of who helped make the movie possible.

Rep can be given once you reach a certain number of posts.
Levels are based on how many posts you have plus how long you've been a member here.

Neither of these are important at all, they're just for fun.
