Hi, I am not very used to mapping in VX, and have recently come across something horrifying... a castle.

If anyone can make a tutorial for this I would be forever grateful (okay, maybe only grateful for a few weeks but that's LIKE eternity)

Thanks in advance, your friendly neighborhood NPC

Here ya are. It's not quite by definition a 'tutorial' as I don't have quite the time to do a full length and in depth tutorial. I'll make one sometime, but it will be when I have the spare time. This is however a castle. It's taken me a day or so of planning and what not to get it done, as this is part of my actual game so it took longer.

Here's the download link for it.
Castle Map Demo

Notes:: No events are active besides the obvious transfers. The file size is directly connected with the graphical resources in the game that aren't used in this. I don't have a single nonRTP audio in this yet. Take a gander at the outside if you're interested in exteriors. It's mostly interiors.

Here's an over view/map of the castle.

Note that from 18 to 19, there's a bookshelf ya have to move to get there. You'll notice it; It pretty much stands out hard. At the end of 19, it just transfers you back to 0, which is just outside where you start. I don't have that area fully complete. It's a puzzle that I haven't decided on yet.

Also::

I hope this helps you out some, I'm sorry I can't flush out a full on tutorial but I'll be happy to answer any questions about mapping in general.

I was mostly wanting the outside to look nice, and less like a big block.
Your game was helpful, I would still prefer a more step by step like in most tutorials... so not going to say [resolved] just yet.
