To pursue the dream I let leave me behind
Hello, I'm new here.  I've never done any work in game creation outside of dreaming up stories and the like.  The more I put down on paper the harder I found it to really map it out so I'm wanting to get started trying to make an RPG file as a good representation of the game I eventually want to make.

I've tinkered and I've searched through the forums but I can't find much specific information on how to go about sprite work.  I'm using RM2K3 and many of the tutorials I've found have been useful but I could really go for someone spelling out the entire sprite thing for me.  Thanks, everyone, for having such a useful collection of contributors and information.

I recommend reading the basics
http://spriteart.com/tutorials/

then afterwards you can work on monster sprites and character sets which they have a tutorial on as well :3
