[Teaser] An Empty Present - I am waiting for one. [GM]

This will be the game mode of the story, "An Empty Present". Click here for the Story Mode.

It's been twelve years. I still haven't got a present. My parents always forget to give me one. But my brother, he always have one every Christmas. It'll be days before the Christmas. I am wishing for a present. I will be waiting for it.

   This game is about a boy named Nathan who still hasn't got a present for twelve years. It will be his thirteenth birthday on December 25. His brother, Paul always gets a present from his parents because of his parent's favoritism on Paul. Now, Nathan is waiting for a present from his parents in his coming birthday. There will be a lot of cutscenes in this game, but most of the part is playable. Quests will also be present in the game.


   It's been twelve years since Nathan hasn't got a present from his parents. He is always sad because he has nothing to play with, his brother doesn't want to play with him because he has many toys than Nathan. Even if Nathan doesn't receive presents, he still loves his brother and parents. Even if he is alone, The Poppins Family, is willing to help him ease the pain.
             It will be his birthday on the coming December 25. He is very excited if his parents would give him a present or not. Nathan's waiting for one.

Nathan Plains

Age: 12
About him: He really loves his brother. He doesn't care even if his brother would hurt him or do something bad to him. He also loves his parents. Nathan is waiting for a present for his coming birthday. Fate will just answer the prayers of Nathan.


Paul Plains

Age: 10
About him: Paul isn't very close with Nathan. He just spends his time by playing all of his toys. He doesn't care about Nathan being lonely, sitting in a corner and doing nothing. But in spite of not being close with Nathan, he still hopes that Nathan will get a present so that he has something to play with.[/spoiler]

This is the most bizarre concept for a game I've ever seen. BUT I LIKE IT!

It's not your usual orphan boy and his rag-tag bunch of adventurers save the world from the evil lord scenario.

I'm sorry, I but the link you offered to the story mode didn't work.

Also, what is the scope of the game; what are some of the places you travel to and what sorts of quests are involved.

What sort of gameplay is there. Do you fight monsters, look for clues or just explore for items?

Interesting concept. I don't believe such a game has ever been made. I like the title screen as well. Does it jump right into the game as per the second screenshot or no?

No battles, I see why you'd need to make everything interactive. Do you have heaps of secret passages and things, puzzles and traps? Interesting characters? Keep posting your updates, I would like to play the finished version.

Anyway, I tried your story demo, but only got a couple of minutes into it before the screen went blank and nothing happened.

I noticed a few things in your grammar that you might need to work on. Some of your wording could be improved to make it flow a little better, and you need to fix up some of your capatalisation. For example Christmas should always have a capital C.

You've also repeated a lot of things, which I don't mind so much, as long as that is what you are aiming for.

I'm happy to proof read it for you, and offer suggestions to improve the grammar, or word it differently. PM me if you are interested.

By the way, I love your title screen.

There are no secret passages or whatsoever. It's just a simple game, but there are special characters.
About the Story Mode, I didn't made the dialogues, my cousin did. I think it's a good idea PMing you for some proofreading..
