Hello. I have a question about making an event activate another event. In the instance, i push a key on the keyboard and a bolt of lightning fires from my character depending on the direction he faces and it moves 7 spaces then disappears. Now, im trying to get the bolt of lightning event to act as a bullet and injure another enemy event on the map. but i cant get the bullet event to collide and trigger the enemy character event. any ideas? ive tried collisions but the bullet just runs into the enemy not effecting it.

I don't think events can trigger other events. What you might have to do is track the 'bullet' event using variables. And make conditional branches checking if that event is at X,Y or next to or on top of the event that you targeted with your 'bullet'.

you know what i actually found my answer on a previous thread. i have never been to this site before so i didn't know how the searches work and everything.     
[TUTORIAL]How to Create a Smart Projectile. I basically did used this event idea and modified it to fit my own needs. thanks everyone anyway.
