Simple problem-enter glitch rmxp isnt working...

Okay, I will try and be detailed on this.

When I first got rmxp, I downloaded the free trial also on another computer. On this free trial, I got a problem that never happened before.

Basically, I was testing out some of the resources on offer by making loads (30 odd) single mapped games with stuff like common events and conditional branches in. In some of these games though, and not others, an unusual error would occur. The enter button would not work and I could not start the game. If I pressed enter, minimized the window and then maximised it again then it would finally count as enter had been pressed. Every time that I needed to press it again during the game, I would have to use the same tactic. What made the glitch even more interesting (and annoying) was the fact that once you made a map which contained that glitch, it would be there on every map of the entire game. The only way to get rid of it was to delete that map and start again. Unfortunately, sometimes the glitch would still remain.

After I had tested out some of the resources, I decided to go back to the main version of my game on the other computer. The glitch seemed to be nonexistent there, and everything seemed to be OK.

It is now a long time later. I am part way through a massive game and have just made a map containing the glitch. I tried copying the map, deleting it and then repasting it but that did not work. It has literally ruined my game! Please please may somebody tell me a way to fix this glitch somehow?

I could not get a screenshot seeing as it would not show my glitch anyway really...

I have never heared about a problem like that. But, here are my ideas:
  • Have you configured well the buttons with F1 menu?
  • Do you have the lastest version of DirectX installed?(9.0c for WinXP)
  • The DLL the game is using, is the original one?(RGSS102E.dll)
  • Do you have installed some scripts? Maybe a Keyboard/Input script may make conflicts with the key pressing.
  • Virus?
  • Antivirus?(Aka the real viruses)

Have you configured well the buttons with F1 menu? I have not changed them from the starting positions.Do you have the lastest version of DirectX installed?(9.0c for WinXP)Yep.
The DLL the game is using, is the original one?(RGSS102E.dll)Not sure, how do I check?
Do you have installed some scripts? Maybe a Keyboard/Input script may make conflicts with the key pressing. I have one, but the problem has occurred in the past when I have had no scripts.Virus? None, just had the computer wiped.
Antivirus?(Aka the real viruses)None either.

Thank you for the reply, I will try and find what "DLL" I am using.

Also, the glitch temporarily went for a while but came back again ???...
