This was made for the RMRK NAMKCOR contest.

Story:
Welcome to the Island of Azulea. It is vacation time, and the students that go to the University in Seaside City are taking a break from the pressures of school. So the best way to enjoy it is to have fun at the beach, right? Usually yes, but not today. For the day of 4 University students and a teacher are going to get quite interesting...

Characters:
Sabrina
She's a very laidback girl, and a big geek. She's kinda shy too, and prefers her music player/videogames/computer to speaking to other people. She's very lazy, but smart too.

Karen
Karen is Sabrinas co-worker. She's a crazy, outgoing girl with too much energy. She's not particularly smart, nor a mean person. Sometimes she can be, and sometimes she can have her anger outbursts. Otherwise, she likes to just live life as she wants to.

Vivian
She's a loner and sometimes cruel. Her mind is filled with evil schemes that are never acted on. While she's generally different from Sabrina, they both share the same tastes for video games, and Vivian can be a good friend once you get to know her. She's Sabrinas cousin.

Angela
A foreign language teacher, a good friend of Sabrina. Angela is a very friendly and outgoing person. She's good in history and languages, just not in math or computers. She likes to relax by the beach. She's a bit of a coward, afraid of heights, snakes, and the dark.

The Park


Battle system, using a spell in battle. The crystals represent your health, spirit, and your limit. The crystals start fading when your health and spirit are low.

This is all done with default events, RTP and everything. The only custom thing so far is the music. The one for the contest had RTP Music, but I accidently overwrote that file and don't feel like finding the RTP Music I used, plus I don't like RTP music.

Progress since then:
I'm new at RMVX so I'm trying to learn RGSS so I can modify the menus and change up the battle system a bit. This is how it looks so far, but these are NOT present in the demo, and still very much early in development.

I haven't modified all the menu fields though, so Equip and Status are still off.


I'm making the backgrounds panoramas, so I can have a bit more freedom with it, and to avoid the dumb looking shadows.

Anyway, feel free to let me know what you think of it, any suggestions or whatever!
