How to make a Mario Game?

I would pay with my unborn child for someone to tell me how to do this. I've always had ideas for great maps, all I really need is some tilesets and the know-how on how to make that 2d side scroll deal.

If anyone knows, It would be greatly appreciate.

You'd probably be better off using Game Maker, or even getting the SMW hacking program by FuSoYa. RM isn't really made for side-scrollers, and while it is possible, it's really just more complicated that way.

Stencyl isn't for fan games. Just ignore the part where they "designed" it to make fan games.

Thanks guys ^ I didn't necessarily mean in RM. I downloaded the Game Maker or Action Game Maker trial (it's actually two, I wasn't sure) and where would I download a Stencyl trial?
