This whole album is about the end of the world. I don't really like the album that much, but I thought this song would fit your project.

Eh not digging it so much to fit. To be honest i'm thinking more sound than actual lyrics, it isn't really a rainy shadow encased universe where everyone slums around, it's an open wasteland full of the remains of a broken past and a worse future.

Dead World at Sunrise isn't rainy at all. It sounds like standing in a wasteland and looking at a frozen sunrise.

If you've seen Dr. Strangelove, this song is quite appropriate for a post-nuclear-apocalypse type game. This is the song they played while all those nukes were going off at the end of the film.
