Even crazier is the bit about "competing with cellular phones" and "exceeding the frame of the game industry." The article mentions that the device will eventually ship for ?20,000 ($189) or less, though it doesn't say what kind of sauce the author hit before writing commenced."

its funny i found my ds under a hockey table leg. i was there probably a year or so. it had a broken screen.
my sister has a DS lite and broke its spine just by flipping it open to hard.

what im saying is the Old DS is better for being more durable.

It is, to an extent. The R buttons tend to stop working, after a while, for some reason... But I think the original's speakers are better.

the only reason I still use it is because I can't afford to buy a lite, nor has my brick stopped working yet.

I had both, got the first DS like 3 years ago? and a lite last year, my first DS has been droped down stairs and out a window and works fine, ds lite stoped working for no reason =[
