You pretty much named my favourite RPG series: Zelda and Tales.

But the Shining series is also great. I've only played the Tactical games, so I can only vouch for Shining Force 1, 2, and 3 part 1, but it is definitely my favourite tactical series.

Civilization is a great series too, and while they aren't so much sequels, they do have a number of differences between each installment, so it is a different experience with each installment, and not just a graphics update.

War/Starcraft is a good series too, but forget World of Warcraft, and of course Diablo is incredibly addictive.

I have played Shining Force 1 and 2, and Warcraft and Starcraft, and they are great games, but I'm not a fan of the RTS genre so they have no replay value for me.

Dark Chronicle (Dark Cloud, here in America) is a great series, though.
And Rogue Galaxy looks pretty sweet, too.

NO! Fuck you! No Secret of Mana! I made a rant thread about that shitty, over-rated game in the sewers a few months ago!

And actually, yes, it IS part of a series! The Mana series, which has like 6 or 7 games in it!

Secret of Mana 2 is better, and Legend of Mana is phenomenal.

But Secret of Mana is utter crap!
So is Dawn of Mana, unfortunately, since it's the latest installment.

Lufia isn't a bad game but it gets terribly boring after a while. Especially when you have to battle after every 3 steps. Lufia 2 is better, but still.

You seem to have left out Castlevania =o Symphony of the Night and the GBA ones are a must.

Symphony of the Night was the best! Secret of Mana 2 was awesome I thought, but I still need to play Legend of Mana though...

Lufia 1's enemy encounter rate was horrible, especially towards the end with all of the tough enemies, great story anyway.

Resident Evil 4 on WII was awesome and pretty freaky if you weren't quick enough! Especially when two, as I call them, 'Chainsaw Nanas' are running at you!

I've played all Personae and SMTs for PS2, don't get me wrong. But the SNES versions are so different compared to those.
