Assistant Drum Major

The band program at my school is holding auditions for the position of assistant drum major.

The only people eligible are rising sophomores and juniors.

None of the rising sophomores are interested, which just leaves John, Bob, Sally, and myself.

The person who becomes assistant drum major this year will take the place of drum major in their senior year.

John would be a great drum major, but he's not interested at all. This surprises me considering he's been taking conducting lessons. Sally ( ... she's hot ... *cough* ) is leaving the band next year, well, so she says. As for Bob... Bob is ADD (in a bad way - he enjoys inflicting pain upon others among other things). He never takes anything seriously and he's spoken in the past about wanting to be drum major and making marching band a lot more relaxed (he has a problem with authority). This is a problem. For those of you who have been in a marching band, you know that while it's fun,  you also have to be serious. I've asked him if he would actually be serious about being drum major if he made it and he said he would. None of us trust him though. Even if he's our friend, we know him all too well.

Here's my dilemma - For the good of the band, I want to be drum major. I want the band to succeed in ways it hasn't before and have a part in that. I also want to see how good I can be. On the other hand, I also want to play the trombone in it, but if we have someone to replace me then I don't have a problem with it. However, if Bob wants to be drum major and if he will actually be better for the band than me, I don't want to get in his way. This is the only year we can audition.

I've been perstering my band teacher about the auditions for a while now (they were supposed to be a week or two ago :x ) and he finally spilled the beans.

Apparently, I'm the only one who applied. (Small band lol)

So, guess what that means.... I'm the assistant drum major now

This was also the day I ace'd all of my tests and quizes.
Got a 100 on my math test, 105 O_. on my Bio H quiz (didn't know that was possible, my best grade this quarter was a 70 something), and like soared through my bible quiz, vocab quiz, and map quiz (Europe area a while ago).

It was a good day.

Oh yeah, today a really hot girl added me on facebook. Moo should remember who I'm talking about. I "dated" her in the seventh grade. Of course, random people add me all the time, but now I have a way to see pics of her 24/7    facebook stalking ftw !!! lol
