Hi folks!
I've been working on an FF-fan project on and off for about three years now, and it's starting to really take shape now. I've got enough content for a nifty little demo to be released very soon, it's just a matter of minor tweaking and mental balance to become steady enough to feel that a release is appropriate.
But, before I start developing it much further from the little longer than demo-length it is now, I want to tweak its features to perfection. And this made me realise that I'd need some help along the road to make it better, because going solo on a big a project like this will probably have me lose interest gradually, which I don't want.
So, I'm looking for these positions to be filled;
- Highest Priority - Composer. I'd very much like this space to be filled by someone who can compose songs in a SNES-y atmosphere, that is, have the songs sound like they were from a SNES/16 bit-game. If you're good at composing and can do so with soundfonts and stuff that sound SNES'y, you're my God. Or well, you'd certainly save me from ever growing tired of this project.
- High Priority - Script/Event Guru. I need to make some custom battle-commands for the default system, like Steal, Jump, Mug etc, but don't really know where to start. Although I know RM2K3 like it were an adopted child, I've never taken time to learn these things. So help in this area is much appreciated.
- Normal Priority - Artist. I need an artist that can make some custom Final Fantasy-title screen that fits with the game, maybe some battle backgrounds in a similar atmosphere to those in FF4 SNES/GBA. And if you're good at spriting facesets for characters in an, again similar style to FF4 and/or FF6, you're much welcome to help out.
That's about it, I hope it was elaborate enough. If you want to see some samples from the game, there's a trailer at my YouTube that shows of some of the RPG. Although it is only a few weeks old, the design for the town has changed a little, and will change further.
