Character Graphic problem!

I have a part in my game where when i win a battle called by an event that my character changes graphic to the person he just battled with and i have it in my event so th at when battle won switch 0001 is on and then i have an event page where when switch 0001 is on my characters graphic is changed, but when i am play testing and i kill the man is changed me to his graphic like instructed but then the game freezes.. anyone know why???
