Need 2k/3 mapper for project

Well, since I didn't get any luck for the recruitment topic posted a while back, I decided to recruit one person at a time starting with a mapper. I suck at maps, so I'm looking for a mapper that can (obviously) make maps and if possible, world maps.

The reason why I called it a pilot is because I'm gonna do a few changes with it. I know the story sounds a bit cliche, but I'm gonna ask someone for help about it on another topic.

I might help out, i need to see how the project goes and whats in it.

Could I see and couple examples of your mapping? I want to see how bad you say you are.
If I feel like it, I could help with mapping.

I might not though, because I have my own project.

Which would you like to see? a world map or a town map?

I would like to see a town map, the inside of a house, and a shop. Is that okay?

Okay, two of the maps aren't THAT bad I admit that, but the map of Grace just sucks.

The Village of Grace does need some work =\, its all tree tree-empty empty. Not much of a village. You could use it for a world map if you player has to travel from one town to another, though.

I didn't understand much in the shop, but it's okay.

The house is the best of all three, and is really pretty good.

I wanted the game to resemble much like Final Fantasy VI (FF5 on the world map), so I used a FF6 chipset, But I was REALLY limited to what I could use for the shop and house.

You're right. Grace is all tree, partially houses. That's why I need a better mapper 'cause obviously, my mapping sucks (apparently, except for houses).

Well, two of those maps are good, but the village is quite empty.

All you need to improve on is the village, it's just trees and houses. It's kinda boring.
And a path in a village is usually used to guide people to shops/houses/etc. The houses shouldn't be randomly scattered around a bunch of trees.
And add NPC's.

I would help you more, but I developed and action battle system on 2k and people are exicted about it. I need to finish a mini-demo today.

Now, don't expect me to do ALL the work for the project. I tried that once, and it wasn't pretty. I know I'm going off topic, but I just wanted to show you an updated version of the village of Grace.

You know, I think your just downgrading yourself. Your actally a good mapper, and if your do the maps yourself, you'll get better at making them. Your insides look good, and your improving on villages.
I think that you should work on maps yourself, then you won't have to ask for help anymore. And isn't mapping kinda fun anyway?

Question: Will you be hiring an eventer later?

Know this: everytime I make a map, people start criticizing me 'cause for putting up random stuff on it. Besides, Some game designing team use two mappers.

You may be right on mapping being fun, but when you have limited RTP, You have no Idea what to do with them.

about eventers: I was on my previous recruitment topic. I guess I should start a new topic about that.
