ok si i've had this problem with the maps that i've had since long ago and never knew what was wrong.

I have 2k3. The problem is the following:

I have 2 computers. Lets call 'em 1 and 2. Usually, i make most of my RPG progress on 1. Lets say i make some 6, 8 new maps in one day. Now if i go to computer 2 and execute 2k3 through the LAN (as 2k3 and the project are in computer 1), computer 2 wont read the 6-8 new maps, and i figured that maybe it had something to do with the registry files of each computer. Well, that wasn't really a problem, tho.

The real trouble begins when my brother formats and re-installs the computers. My files were backuped, but now BOTH computers won't read all maps, just the first ones. now i dunno what to do and i really want to recover those maps =/ any ideas?

If he reformatted the computers, and your backups weren't up to date, there really isn't much that can be done. Unless there is something unforeseen on my part.

Now I can only assume that you are meaning you cannot veiw them

Make a new project
make new maps as many as maps you have backed up

save it

Go to the project file REPLACE THE MAP information.

-_- I don't know the exact reason why the maker doesn't realize there are maps in the project. But it could be that the project data has a hidden number of how many maps to look for.  This is for all rpg makers not just 2003 just an interesting fact.

Just remember, the resources should be the same both project.

Run-down:
you make maps on computer 1, when you go to computer 2 before you places those new maps you make new maps exactly the same amount as you made on computer 1, Then you go to the project folder on computer 2 paste in the maps and you should be able to see the new maps in the maker when you open the project in the maker.
